Presidents
Day
President’s
day I an American holiday that is celebrated in February 16 (the third Monday in
February). It was established in 1885 in recognition of President George
Washington. Traditional celebrated on Washington’s actual birthday (February
22) the holiday was known as Presidents day after it was moved as part of 1971
uniform day holiday act. This attempted to create more three day weekends for
the Nations workers. Some people celebrate Presidents day by having picnics, party,
feast, or maybe have a piece of pie (which was Washington’s favorite desert).
