Duties and Responsibilities:
An army dental corps officer is
responsible for the dental health of soldiers and their families. They also
responsible for providing health care to soldiers’ families and others eligible
to receive this care in the military community. During combat, a dental officer
will assist in any emergency in medical management of casualties.

Education: To qualify for an officer appointment in the U.S.
Army Dental Corps, you must:
1. Meet the prescribed
medical and moral standards for appointment as a commissioned officer
2. Be a U.S. citizen
3. Be a graduate of an
American Dental Association accredited dental school
4. Have a current
unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the United States, District of
Columbia, Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States
5. Must be between 21
and 42 years of age (may request a waiver, Locate a Recruiter for more
