Licensed Practical Nurse
Duties and Responsibilities: Licensed Practical Nurses are nurses who care for people
who are sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled. Many LPN’s record patients’
vital signals such as weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and
respiratory rate. They can also give injections, monitor Catheters, dress
wounds, and give massages. To keep patients comfortable, they assist with
bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, Standing, or walking. Experienced LPN’s
can also supervise other LPN’s for aid.
Salary: $41,540
Education: Aspiring
LPNs need a high school diploma or GED to apply for an LPN educational training
program, typically a 12-month program found in technical and vocational schools
and community colleges.
