Duties and Responsibilities:
An Ambulance Dispatcher or 9-1-1 operators
answer emergency and non-emergency calls. They take information from the caller,
and then send it to the operator. Ambulance Emergency Dispatchers work in a
public safety answering point (PASP).
Salary: $26,070 - $42,999
Education: You must have a high school diploma or GED. Many jurisdictions
require dispatchers to become certified. To have a better chance of becoming a
dispatcher if you have a related two or four year degree in a subject such as
criminal justice, computer science, or communications.
Reflection: I would not like to be a Ambulance Dispatcher because I am not so fast at typing or staying calm in a emergency.
